Shell Radiator Cleaner

An engine coolant system flushing fluid designed to clean and flush radiator systems prior to adding a Shell Coolant. Suitable for use in all automotive and heavy duty petrol, diesel and gas engines.

Contains

  • Sodium metasilicate <30%.

How to use

Always follow vehicle manual to ensure product suitability.

Do not remove radiator cap when engine is hot.

Always follow manufacturer’s flushing procedures.

  • 1. Drain radiator coolant system.
  • 2. Cars/Light Vehicles: Add 500mL of Shell Radiator Cleaner to coolant system and fill remaining system with demineralised water. For Heavy Duty Vehicles, use 500mL for every 6 litres of cooling system volume.
  • 3. Start engine and turn on heater.
  • 4. Run engine for no longer than 20 minutes.
  • 5. Turn off engine and allow to cool.
  • 6. Drain cooling system and flush with clean water to remove all residual radiator cleaner.
  • 7. Refill with appropriate recommended coolant.
  • 8. Idle engine until operating temperature is reached and inspect for leaks.
  • 9. When engine is cool, re-check coolant level.
How to use Shell Radiator Cleaner

Danger

Hazardous Chemical. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Harmful if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed rinse mouth. DO NOT induce vomiting. Call a Poison Information Centre or doctor/physician.

If in Eyes:

rinse cautiously with water for several minutes. Remove contact lenses, if present and easy to do. Continue rinsing. In case of poisoning or an emergency call either your local poisons information centre or +61 2 9186 1132.
